We are not interested in your data. This policy explains the very little we do collect, why, and what your rights are.

1. Who we are

UnknownCompany is a Dutch holding group operating independently run companies including UnknownICT and UnknownHosting. This policy applies to the UnknownCompany holding website (www.unknowncompany.eu).

Each subsidiary (UnknownHosting, UnknownICT) publishes its own privacy policy applicable to the services it provides.

2. What we collect on this website

This website (www.unknowncompany.eu) is a static informational page. We collect as little as technically possible:

No cookies are placed by us
No analytics scripts run on this page
No tracking pixels or fingerprinting
No user accounts or login

Your browser may load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) and a geographic dataset from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) for the globe animation. These third-party CDN requests may log your IP address according to their own policies, which we do not control. If you prefer not to have these requests made, disabling JavaScript will prevent the CDN calls.

3. Server logs

Our web server (Nginx) records standard access logs containing your IP address, the page requested, your browser user agent, and the timestamp. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and diagnosing server errors.

Logs are not shared with any third party
Logs are rotated and deleted after 14 days
Logs are never analysed for commercial or marketing purposes

4. Email contact

If you contact us at [email protected], we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to mailing lists, share your email with third parties, or store it beyond the duration needed to handle your request.

5. The exception — illegal activity

We do not analyse data for commercial purposes. There is one exception: if we have reasonable grounds to suspect illegal activity, we may examine relevant data as required or permitted under applicable EU law, including but not limited to cooperation with competent authorities under legal obligation.

This exception is narrow, specific, and not used as justification for broad data retention or monitoring.

6. Your rights under GDPR

As a resident of the European Union, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we hold:

Right of access — you may request a copy of any data we hold about you
Right to erasure — you may request deletion of your data
Right to rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate data
Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interest

7. Data location

Any data processed by UnknownCompany is stored and processed within the European Union. We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We do not operate a mailing list to notify you of changes — check this page if you are concerned.
